Resumen

In recent decades, Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) has emerged as a new inclination in
the field of information technology that provides remote monitoring and accessing wearable
sensors. This paper explores the future scope to design more secure WBAN integrated with
IoT architecture with reduced complexity and enhance security level. In this work, security
concerns is focused. Due to limited computational resources in IoT devices, the integrity
checking algorithm needed to be lightweight. The main concern while maintaining security in
WBAN-IoT architecture, it is required to focus problems such as high costs, Latency and Risk
of single point failure. While accessing remote data, there is a requirement of high-level
security and privacy of sensitive data over remote servers. It is consequently of great interest
to deliberate security and privacy issues in WBANs. This paper discusses the Internet of Things
(IoT) architecture and its applications. Along with IoT application, security threats, and
challenges related to sensitive data of WBAN integrated with IoT are discussed It also
compared different features and parameters for designing and evaluating security algorithms
in WBAN integrated IoT devices.
