Abstract

Sheet metal forming is a well-developed and widely used technology. In the competitive manufacturing business, decreasing reaction time and costs, increasing efficiency, and improving the excellence of made items are all critical for survival. Using the simulation approach of finite element analysis, we can evaluate the performance of various components, equipment, and structures under various loading conditions.A classification of controlling geometry and material nonlinearity has been outlined about restricted component reproduction of framing activities. The bending process of "AISI1020 steel", "1060 Aluminum alloy", and "Duranickel alloy" sheets utilising a bend test for a 'V' shape punch tool is detailed in this paper. Because of extreme plastic strain, permanent deformation occurs on the sheet metal strip. The creation of spring back during unloading is one of the most severe problems in sheet metal bending. To investigate the bending behaviour of sheet metal, this research uses the design of experiments and finite element analysis. Parametric numerical simulations are used to investigate the elasto plastic behaviour. The static mechanical behaviour of metal sheets is researched for diverse materials to establish their correlations. The systematic method is carried out by establishing a FEM analysis of sheet metal three-point bending.
