Abstract

The advancement of electronics and avionics technology over the past few decades,
particularly in the areas of device shrinking and cost reduction, has helped the UAVs
(Unmanned Ariel Vehicles). Many entrepreneurs, both civil and military, have been
motivated by the growing technology's lifesaving features. Consequently, it has drawn the
attention of several researchers for a long time. Thus, it ushers in a new age of network
technology dubbed as the Flying Ad hoc Network between UAVs and base stations
(FANET). Due to many flight limitations and the highly dynamic topology of FANETs,
designing routing protocols is an important issue. The previous system designed TARS (Trust
Aware Route Selection) in order to transmit packets in flying ad-hoc networks effectively.
The risk of a packet colliding with another exponential increment, however, causes
performance degradations as network demands rise. Additionally, it cannot be guaranteed
that it will adhere to the rigorous QoS standards for packet transfers in FANETs. A QASPT
(Quality-of-service Aware Secure Packet Transmission) was created by the suggested system
to address this issue and increase the packet delivery ratio in flying ad-hoc networks. Initially,
the clustering is performed based on the UAVs distance. The optimal CHs selection is
done by using Improved Weight based Chicken Swarm Optimization (IWCSO) algorithm.
The fitness function depends on link capacities, remaining energies, and neighboring node
distances. Nodes start talking and sending data to their CHs after the clustering process. Then
the node's trust value is determined using the QoS (Quality of Service) metrics of
dependability and performance. In order to reduce delay, load-balanced packet transmission
is finally accomplished. According to the experimental findings, the suggested system
performs better than the existing system in terms of packet delivery ratio, throughput
overhead, and energy use.
