Abstract

In this research offers a high-level overview of the cutting-edge technology behind Digital
Image Processing as it pertains to the use of satellite-based sensors to acquire remote sensing
imagery. Image filtering, enhancement, threshold, segmentation and classification are the
primary processing phases in remote sensing. The first step in processing a picture filtering is
called "image preprocessing," and it involves fixing any issues with the raw data and remove
distortions due to the weather, the camera's position, and other factors. Data that has already
been preprocessed is then enhanced so that it can be shown clearly and read by the human eye.
Methods for accurately differentiating superficial elements for visual interpretation are
included. A good thematic map of a certain land use or land cover can be made by combining
transformation, which looks for specific features on the Earth's surface, and classification,
which puts pixels into different groups.
