Abstract

This study aims to map articles about accounting information systems in hospitals. Data was
taken from journals, chapters, preprints, and proceedings on database dimensions from 1960 to
2021, 490 documents were obtained and analyzed using a bibliometric approach using R
Biblioshiny to make it easier to present output visualization. It was found that the source most
relevant to this theme was the 'Australian Health Review', but the most impactful was the
'Health Policy'. The most prolific writer is Wang Y. Meanwhile, the ones with the greatest
impact are Guo J, Honore PA, and Yoshihara H. The word that appears most frequently is
'humans' followed by 'accounting'. While the topic trend in 2020 is 'follow-up studies' which
can illustrate the importance of this theme for further development through a series of followup
studies. Then China is the most productive country as evidenced by the many
correspondences. However, the country that contributes the most is the USA because it has
been cited the most by other researchers. Articles on accounting information systems in
hospitals have been published in various countries and have the potential to continue to grow,
especially in advanced research according to current needs related to the use of information
technology. In addition, the medical world has been greatly affected by the COVID-19
pandemic, so activities in hospitals have become increasingly complex and require a supporting
information system.
