Farmer’s Companion Bot

Abstract

Automation in agricultural sector has become a very important part in the development of agricultural domain. The population is ever increasing which causes increasing demand of food supply. The traditional methods of agriculture like irrigation, planting, fertilization, harvesting are very time consuming and also require a lot of labor [1].For huge acres of the land it becomes difficult to plant seeds. As the sowing of seeds need to be done in a very short period of time, more labor is needed, which makes it a costly affair. So, to help with this problem, we have designed a robot which is an automatic seed sowing robot. This robot will help in decreasing the human efforts. It is controlled through a mobile application which is easy to operate. Arduino automates the whole process. So, with this robot we aim to increase the productivity and decrease the cost required for it.
