Problems Encountered By the Dalit Women in Accessing the Financial Schemes Offered By the Government – A Study in Theni District

Abstract

India is a developing country. It consisting 32 states in India, TamilNadu is a Socio- Culturally diverse and distinct secular country with different economic backgrounds of the people. Dalit are one of the important groups in India. The Dalit remain disadvantaged group due to various factors like inability to satisfy the need, lack of education and skills, poor accessing of financial schemes. The researcher has made an attempt to analyses the problems faced by the Dalit women in accessing the financial schemes offered by the Government.
