Economic Analysis of Kalamkari Units

Abstract

India has well reputation to its beautiful variety of handicrafts. Many of these crafts are unrivalled in their beauty, skill of workmanship and uniqueness of design which have got an appreciation both in home and foreign markets. In this context an attempt has been in this paper to study about the kalamkari units. The main objectives of the study is to examine about kalmakari units its owners status and to analyse about the designs and products. The study also covers the cost of product, sales, profits and the problems of kalamkari craft units.
