Proposal for Information Sharing Application to Support Top Athletes in Extremely Difficult Situations

Abstract

The global spread of COVID-19 since 2019 has made an enormous impact on the social and economic front of each country. This does not exclude the field of sports. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were postponed for the first time in Olympic history. The top athletes who aspired to participate in the Olympics had to face with the severe circumstances and the accompanying stress, which they had never experienced before. Through an analysis of the mental attitude changes of the top athletes, who were then inevitably exposed to many media reports point by point, we focus on what kind of information is necessary for athletes who are under difficult situations, and examine a system design to provide more supportive information for them.
