Abstract

Due to the high prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis, this category of patients has comorbidities and a burdened comorbid background, which affects the prognosis, treatment tactics and quality of life of patients. In RA, comorbid diseases may appear before the development of the disease, during the period of exacerbation, remission, or may be a complication of autoimmune inflammation and/or its therapy. The pericardium, myocardium, heart valves, conduction system, coronary vessels may be involved in the pathological process. 106 patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis who were treated in the Department of cardiorheumatology of the Samarkand City Medical Association from 2019 to 2021 were examined. Risk factors for the development of cardiovascular pathology were identified, cardiovascular risk stratification was performed on the SCORE scale, ultrasound examination of carotid arteries, lipoprotein profile, levels of proinflammatory cytokines were checked. The main group consisted of 68 patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis without cardiovascular pathology, the control group consisted of 40 individuals without connective tissue diseases.
