Abstract

The article discusses the results of a study of the physical properties of insulating paper used in the cable industry. The results of the study of the structure of insulating paper, the development of methods for its quantitative description and the assessment of the nature of the relationship between the structure of paper and its insulating properties are presented. It is shown that the insulating paper has a structure consisting of a multilayer composition, each layer of which is modeled as a two-dimensional fibrous mesh.
