Abstract

Currently, rabies is registered in more than 150 countries and is one of five infectious diseases common to humans and animals, causing the greatest social and economic damage. Despite the numerous preventive measures carried out in practice, the epizootic situation of rabies remains complicated. Today, on a global scale, to identify the etiology of rabies, early diagnosis and development of modern preventive measures is considered relevant in veterinary practice [12], [13], [14]. Rabies has an associated type of the epidemic. Wild carnivorous provide continuity of the epidemic, stray dogs are carriers of the virus and the vector of transmission to domestic animals and man. There is studied the problem of rabies which is considered to be the most actual task of native and foreign infectionists. Rabies is especially-dangerous infectious disease of animals, poultry and a man, proceeding with hard damage of nerve system, as usual with lethal outcome. But in spite of the successes of modern science, the vast territory of the Earth is not free from the virus of rabies [4], [11]. The world area of rabies of productive animals has not the tendency to reduction of it, because of its natural centre of disease. The intensity and seasonal character of epizootological process among agricultural and domestic animals first of all is connected with ecology of wild carnivorous animals [2], [5], [6].
