Design of Highway Wind Power Generating Turbine

Abstract

Electrical Energy is important in our daily life. Nowadays the requirement of electricity is superior than its generation. Electricity can be produced from renewable energy sources like solar, hydal, wind, etc. Of which wind energy is the fastest growing energy source. Highways have certain amount of wind energy developed by the moving vehicles on roads. This wind energy can be utilised for generating the electricity through the vertical axis windmills. The main objective of this project is to design the wind mill in order to capture the wind energy from highways. These windmills are arranged in the centre of highways. As the vehicles travel on the road with certain velocity this makes the wind turbine to rotate and generate electricity with optimum cost and less pollution. This model has been developed by using MATLAB 2020a.
