Abstract

Road rage is a prevalent and hazardous issue on roads, with high occurrence rates observed in numerous regions. Mitigating road rage requires a combination of self-awareness, empathy, and proactive behavior, including admitting one's own errors and expressing apologies to other drivers. This research presents an innovative solution to this issue through the development of an offline voice-controlled LED car display. The system comprises two main components: an AI unit and a display panel located at the rear of the vehicle. The AI unit utilizes a CNN for speech recognition, operating on a Raspberry Pi 4, while the display employs an ESP32 microcontroller and a 16x32 RGB LED matrix panel. Performance testing shows that the system achieved an accuracy rate of 98.83%. With this technology, drivers can communicate apologies or display calming messages to other drivers without the need for a mobile phone, potentially reducing instances of road rage and enhancing road safety.
