Abstract

Synchrophasor devices promise situation awareness for real-time monitoring and operational visibility of the smart grid. With WIDESPREAD implementation, significant challenges have emerged, especially in communication, data quality and cybersecurity. By using an optimization technique, the number of PMUs can be reduced by placing them optimally. The existing literature delicacies these challenges as separate problems, when in reality, they have a complex interplay. This paper conducts analysis the PMU data and detects the fault in 39 bus system using fault detection algorithm and analysis the cybersecurity issue in smartgrid.  The security standard for the communication protocol implementation constraints of different platforms. Introduce a novel optimization-based method to detect the presence of the attack and then identify which PMUs are compromised. A new cyber-threat against data-driven PMU measurements.  Model and analyze the poisoning attack against the use of support vector machines (SVM).  Proposed an effective attack detection using SVM Method.
