Abstract

Physically Challenged are those who don’t have a normal functional body of improper leg growth or lost their legs due to accidents. This project work will help them they don’t need to depend on human resources. Here a vehicle is designed for physically challenged people it can be fully controlled on its own with a help of a mobile application. The Smart vehicle is fully controlled by a mobile application and there is wireless communication via Bluetooth between the mobile device and Arduino microcontroller. By using a mobile application interface people can control the smart vehicle to move toward the front, back, right, and left directions. The safety measure included with the smart vehicle is automatic braking, automatic lights, and in case of an emergency automatic message with the approximate location of the guardian. The Light Detection Resistor is able to sense the lighting condition of the surrounding environment in terms of intensity which will be helpful to either turn ON or OFF the lights automatically. While moving, with respect to the status of the environment (Day or Night), the Lights attached along with the headlight portion of the vehicle will be either turned ON or OFF. Then while moving the car in the reverse direction, the objects at the backside of the car could be easily predicted using the amplitude values of an ultrasonic sensor. If any object is present, then the car will automatically be stopped and intimates the user with a buzzer sound. Otherwise, the car is allowed to move in the desired direction. In case of an accident happened to the smart vehicle it has an emergency messaging system in it. The Arduino microcontroller fetches the exact location of the vehicle by GPS module and intimates the guardian with a message using the GSM module.
