Hybrid MAC protocol for Wireless Multimedia Networks- A research Prespective

Abstract

This paper presents a Hybrid MAC protocol to be established for WCDMA applications; in particular the design of the proposed model can have an optimum usage in wireless multimedia networks. Here for the design we integrate the hybrid model of CSMA, TDMA MAC protocols with WCDMA systems to enhance the overall throughput of the multimedia WLAN in a cellular environment. We make use of these MAC protocols adaptively, to switch both the low and high data traffics of the mobile users. The proposed approach contains numerous slots per frame to allowmany users to transmit instantaneously using their CDMA code usage.Moreover we validate our approach using simulation
