Abstract

In the technology sector, Blockchain is being widely applied in many areas, from finance to healthcare and supply chain management. Its main features are decentralization and high data security, which makes the storage and transmission of information more reliable. In the blockchain environment, each block of data is linked to the previous block through a hash string, forming a block string that cannot be easily changed. This ensures the immutability of the data: once the information has been written into the blockchain, it cannot be modified or deleted without changing the entire chain. By using consensus algorithms such as Proof of Work or Proof Of Stake, the blockchain network can consensuses between nodes automatically and reliably. This eliminates the need to rely on a third party to validate transactions, minimizes risks and costs, and the blockchain also opens the door to more sophisticated applications like smart contracts, acting as programs that automatically enforce contract terms when conditions are met. This can be applied in many areas such as insurance, real estate and also in the area of personal data management. Blockchain is not only a data storage technology, it also opens the door to innovation and utility in many fields, helping to create a reliable and secure digital infrastructure.
