Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the determinants of employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable in Islamic banking in Indonesia by using leadership style, organizational culture, work environment and work motivation as determinants of employee performance. The methodology used is quantitative, and the research method uses a survey method with a Structural Equation Modeling model with primary data from the acquisition of a Likert-scale questionnaire which is processed using the Lisrel student 8.8 application for 397 respondents, in order to measure the direct and indirect effects in the path diagram model. and sobel test. The results of the study are that the dominant leadership style has been widely presented by all employees of Islamic Commercial Banks and employees follow the tabligh of the leadership and each presentation of the minutes as a characteristic of prophetic leadership that mostly treats Islamic leadership styles in Islamic Commercial Banks, that prophetic leadership style is very influential and influences employee leadership behavior in realizing better employee performance of Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. The theoretical implication is that the practice of the Islamic prophetic leadership style applied by the leadership can be followed by all employees in their work which makes the perception of employees to practice strong Islamic teachings and will always occur in employees' efforts to develop their careers. To improve the performance of Sharia Commercial Bank employees in Indonesia, leaders must pay attention to good communication methods for employees so that they can be followed as an organizational culture and communication that reflects honesty in accordance with the principles of Islamic teachings.
