Advancements in Criminal Justice Technologies: Enhancing Prevention, Investigation, and Efficiency

Abstract
With a triple focus on crime prevention, investiga- tion, and system efficiency, we thoroughly examine the incor- poration of technology into the criminal justice system in this study. Our research reveals cutting-edge technology strategies, such as identifying susceptible people, using network analysis to prevent crime, and developing cybercrime detection, surveillance systems, and drones for public safety. We examine state-of-the-art methods of investigation, including the examination of difficult evidence, cold case procedures, and criminal behavior prediction models. We also incorporate technical applications, such as improved matching algorithms, gunshot detection, and DNA mixture interpretation. We also examine how technology might be used to automate monotonous jobs, lower recidivism rates, and improve access to justice. We study risk assessment instruments and fairer sentencing guidelines, including smart courtroom technologies and criminal justice data analytics. In summary, our research highlights how technology has the power to completely transform the criminal justice system by providing improved capacities for prevention, more efficiency for investigations, and faster legal procedures. The study also raises issues with privacy consequences, an excessive dependence on technology, and the critical requirement for algorithmic fairness. This study opens the door for well-informed developments in practice, research, and policy by providing a comprehensive viewpoint on the use of technology in criminal justice.
