Abstract

The automobile's engine is a crucial component. The authors of this research have taken into account a four-cylinder dual fuel engine in their evaluation of its dependability. The system setup is shown in fig-1. The whole system is now composed of four distinct parts. With the help of a flawless switching mechanism, we can bring the reserve fuel tank online. Using the logic diagram method, the system which is the non-series parallel type was transformed into a straightforward parallel and series architecture. The failure rates and expected lifetimes of the components have been modelled using Weibull distributions. The study examines the significance of the parameters being studied (such as scale as well as shape parameters) at different time points to analyse the behaviour of these dependability measures. When failures occur according to Weibull and Exponential distributions of time, the reliability of the system under consideration has been calculated. An essential dependability parameter namely, M.T.T.F. of investigated system has also been analysed to increase practical usability of the model. The most significant findings of this research are highlighted with a graphical display and a numerical calculation added at the conclusion.
