Leveraging Iot and Deep Learning for Agricultural Decision Support

Abstract
Smart Farm is an agriculture system that coupled with artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning algorithms, Internet of Things technology to renew traditional farming. In terms of how well this technology predicts crop yields and evaluates the quality of the seed this innovation goes beyond what a normal approach would offer and offers farmers the required information for optimal agricultural decisions. The incorporation of the machine learning algorithms helps the Smart-Farm to becomes a companion that farmers can rely on for on time and accurate information that is critical in the production of crops. They are further boosted by IoT integration which enables real-time determination of the quality of soil by installing soil sensors in appropriate places. The pH, nutrient content, and moisture level control sensors are very vital to farmers so as have a comprehensive tab on their soils, applying exactly correct data in soil management as with other entities. This also increases overall efficiency and also improves the way crop farming has been practiced because farmers are provided with information that enables them to make decisions that will enhance yields thus increasing efficiency of the present farming methods.
