Abstract

Employee development and training are critical in practically every business industry.
Customer satisfaction is important in business, and it can only be achieved if employees are
effectively taught to deal with consumers. Employee training in the hospitality business
cannot be understated because every job in the hotel industry strives to promote guest
happiness. The human resources department is in charge of training and development. The
training and development process improves job-related abilities required in the hospitality
business in order to boost the customer base. If staff is not sufficiently trained in employeeguest
interaction, this type of conversation may go off the rails, negatively damaging the
hotel's reputation. This study discusses the impact of training and development on the hotel
industry and critically examines the performance of some of the most prestigious hotels in
New Delhi, taking into account the training and development provided by the hotels to their
staff. Training and development can help employees improve their skills, which is especially
important during this Covid moment. In the absence of employee training, a SWOT analysis
is used to evaluate these hotels, highlighting their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and
threats. In the absence of training, a correlation and regression-based technique is used for
analysis corresponding to the employee. Finally, this paper argued that training should be
viewed as an investment rather than a cost in order for hotels to thrive in a competitive
environment.
