Analysing the investment pattern of working women in Chennai

Abstract

The primary purpose of conducting this study is to understand the impact of the different
demographic factors on the investment decisions made by working women. The study helps
in enhancing knowledge about the different investment opportunities such as fixed deposits,
public provident fund (PPF), Equity, Debentures & bonds, mutual funds. The demographic
factors and perceptions play an important role in selecting an investment opportunity. Most of
the investors prefer risk free investment opportunities and do not have adequate knowledge
about the different digital investment platforms such as crypto currency. The study also
focuses on both the traditional and the modern investment opportunities that are available. It
further examines the investment made in digital instruments by working women in recent
times.
