Synthesis, Characterization of a Novel Ester Compounds Via Steglich Esterification
Main Article Content
Abstract
Imine compounds were synthesized from the reaction of substituted benzaldehyde with 4-
amino benzoic acid. The results reacted with resorcinol in an DCM/DMf as a mixed solvent,
and stirring in room temperture with used reagent DCC (N,N'-Di cyclo carbo diimide) and
DAMP (4-(Dimethylamino)pyridine ) to convert functional group carboxylic acid into ester.
The resulting products were found to be 1,3-disubstituted bis(4- ((E)-benzylidene)
amino)benzoate . The structures of the compounds prepare were confirmed by their melting
points, FT-IR and 1HNMR spectra analyses
