The Level of Using Social Skills for the Work of Agricultural Employees and their Relationship to Some Variables in Kirkuk Governorate

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the level of the use of social skills for the work of agricultural
employees and their relationship to some variables in Kirkuk governorate, as well as the level
of the fields of the following study (subjective, technical, humanitarian, intellectual,
economic, administrative, emotional sensitivity, emotional control of work, professional
work pressure, and pressure captive), And determining the correlations between the degree of
agricultural employees' use of social skills and the following independent variables (age,
gender, marital status, social class regression, number of years of service in the agricultural
sector, educational level and training in the agricultural sector). A five-point scale was used
to measure the level of social skills, and it was given the levels (strongly disapproving,
disapproving, neutral, agree, and strongly agree) where the numerical values were given
(5,4,3,2,1), respectively. The research sample included (182) researchers, And (30)
respondents were excluded from among them by including them in the survey sample in the
preliminary test, and (20) questionnaires that were not received by us were excluded from the
respondents, and the number of those included in the research sample became (132)
respondents. The questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting data from the respondents.
The questionnaire included two parts, the first part related to the respondents' personal
information, The second part included a scale to test the level of social skills of the
respondents. To analyze the data, the statistical analysis program (spss) was used, and some
statistical methods were used, such as frequencies, arithmetic mean, and standard deviation.
The results of the study showed that the level of use of social skills among agricultural
employees in Kirkuk governorate is average, and when arranging the main areas of research
in order of importance, which are (self-skills, technical skills, human skills, intellectual and
economic skills, administrative skills, emotional sensitivity skills, control skills Emotional
work, professional work control skills, family pressure skills) in order, A significant
correlation was found between the level of the researchers' social skills and each of the
variables (marital status, class regression, years of service, level of education, training), while
there was no significant correlation between the level of social skills of the respondents and
the variable (age, gender), and in light of the results of study. The study recommends the
need to intensify training programs and courses in the field of social skills, and that these
programs be well-planned and based on raising the level of their social skills in the areas and
aspects in which they suffer from a low level of social skills, especially new agricultural
employees and those with short service, in order to fill the deficit in their information and
skills Social.
