Synthesize and Characterization of MWCNT-Cooau and Their use in Photothermal Treatment of Breast Cancer
Main Article Content
Abstract
In recent years, gold nanoparticles and carbon nanotubes have gotten a lot of interest for their
prospective applications in photothermal therapy (PTT), which is an emerging breakthrough.
In this study, (AuNPs) was used to decorate multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs),
which could increase its efficacy in cancer treatment, according to the researchers. MWCNTCOOAu
was diagnosed using FE-SEM technique. The effect of MWCNT-COOAu, at
various concentrations 3.12, 6.25, 12.5, and 25 μg/mL and different irradiation time intervals
30, 60, 90, and 120sec were utilized by a near-infrared (NIR) laser wavelength (λ =808 nm,
P=3 W) on the breast cancer cell line (MCF7) was studied. Temperature elevation of
MWCNT-COOAu, was found to be the highest At a concentration 25 μg/mL and a 120-
second irradiation time, the temperature reached 43.5 oC and generate 63 % cytotoxicity in
the MCF7 cell line, According to this study, the treatment of the MCF7 cell line is
concentration and time-dependent.
