A Startup-Oriented Framework for the Development and Commercialization of Smart Firefighting Technologies
Main Article Content
Abstract
The increasing complexity of industrial fire hazards and the growing demand for intelligent fire protection systems have highlighted the need for advanced firefighting technologies that combine high suppression efficiency with economic sustainability. This study evaluates the technical, commercial, and economic feasibility of establishing a startup dedicated to the development and commercialization of intelligent firefighting equipment based on Pulse Foam Technology and Smart Fire Monitor systems in Iran.An integrated research methodology was adopted, incorporating a systematic literature review, technical analysis, market assessment, business model development, financial feasibility analysis, and benchmarking against existing firefighting technologies. The proposed framework was designed to evaluate not only engineering performance but also commercialization potential under real industrial conditions. The results indicate that Pulse Foam Technology can significantly improve foam stability, enhance extinguishing efficiency, and reduce water and foam concentrate consumption compared with conventional firefighting systems. The study concludes that integrating Pulse Foam Technology with intelligent fire monitoring provides a technically feasible and commercially attractive solution for next-generation industrial fire protection. The proposed startup framework offers practical guidance for the commercialization of innovative firefighting technologies while contributing to industrial safety, technological self-reliance, and sustainable economic development in emerging markets.
