Machine Learning-Based Recommendation Systems for Higher Education

Abstract

The recommender system is one of the most popular Artificial Intelligence and machine learning applications, attracting numerous researchers from all over the world. The wide usage of the Internet era has led to the widespread use of recommender systems in our day-to-day lives. A variety of machine learning approaches canbe used to implement the recommendation system. This paper deals with the working of various recommendation system approaches. We have tried to push these algorithms to their limits to obtain the highest level of precision and offered a thorough comparison for opting higher degrees in higher education. Many versions of higher education are available in different educational institutions. The present paper helps to explore out the best algorithm among all these for the selection of higher education by a candidate willing to take admission in higher studies after completion of a particular lower degree or schooling.
