Resumen

This project proposes an augmentedreality- based indoor navigation application designed for large and complex spaces like shopping malls, airports, hospitals, and universities. Since GPS signals are unreliable indoors, the system uses manual mapping, simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM), and QR code technology for accurate real-time location tracking. With the help of AR Core, the app overlays digital navigation cues onto the user’s environment, creating an interactive and immersive experience. Unity’s NavMesh is used for pathfinding, calculating the shortest routetothe destination. Unlike traditional systems, this solution works without external hardware, making it cost-effective, energy- efficient, and highly reliable.
