Concerning the Establishment of “Russkoe Selo” Village in Mingtepa

Resumen

This article provides information about the consequences of the Andizhan uprising
against the Russian Empire, the impact of this uprising on the socio-economic life of
Mingtepa village. The article also describes the Russian colonial government’s policy of
resettlement of Russians, the establishment of the village of Russkoe selo in place of the
village of Mingtepa. Opinions were also expressed about the opportunities created for the
resettled Russian population, and the violation of the rights of the local population.
